Vegas Staycation at Vdara

A couple weeks ago I shared my girl’s night out at the Backstreet Boys concert. If you saw the post, you’ll know that we made a real night of it and my bestie got us a really nice room close to Planet Hollywood for the night. I love a staycation so I’m sharing photos and details about the hotel today!
First off, Vdara is one of the few properties on the Strip that has no casino. This can be really nice when you’re trying to avoid all the noise and extra hustle and bustle of the tourists. In fact, since the property is more hotel than anything else, it really lends a nice quiet atmosphere compared to the other properties next door.
While there aren’t a lot of restaurant options within the doors of Vdara, it’s literally a two minute walk across the valet area to Aria and just down an elevator to Cosmopolitan. There are a ton of options within those two properties alone; however, if you stop by Cosmopolitan, I highly recommend a visit to Momofuku Las Vegas for dinner and Milkbar for dessert (we grabbed some late night bites here after the show).

We did grab breakfast at Vice Versa inside Vdara the morning after the show. The lounge is kind of a cool indoor/outdoor space and when the weather is nice, it’s a great place to start the day. The breakfast menu is small but consists of cute little small plates. The small variety still manages to provide something for most palates! There is a Starbucks on property; however, it gets crowded and I highly recommend swinging by Jean Philippe Patisserie at Aria for your morning coffee and pastries. They have all kinds of delicious items and are something of a Vegas Strip staple.
I absolutely loved our room. The all-suite hotel is a bit more handy for the longterm visitor since the rooms have doorbells, sitting areas, and small kitchens. Upon check-in, we were even asked if we needed dishware sent up to the room. The windows have full black-out drapes as well as shades that are all remote operated which was really nice when the sun was going down!

Melissa works graveyard shifts so her internal clock is completely different from mine. Whenever we travel or share a room, she usually only gets a couple hours of sleep and stays up the rest of the time. Having a semi-separate living room made this so much more comfortable since we both had our own spaces for the night. The beds are super comfortable and there are charging ports and outlets all over the room. Additionally, there’s a tablet next to the bed that has all kinds of resort information for City Center- super helpful if you’re looking for restaurants options!

Last, the bathroom is awesome. There was a massive soaking tub (I wish I’d had time to use it) and a separate shower. The vanity is well lit and has plenty of counter space- enough for two girls to get ready for a night out!
We really enjoyed our stay at Vdara. It was a wonderful change of pace from the louder, flashier options on the Strip. While it’s set a bit further back from the rest of the casinos, that just makes it far less crowded and more intimate and quiet. Definitely a relaxing stay!
