Since my Grinch video got so much love, I thought it would be fun to do a little break-down of the process on the blog. This year, I’m going to be doing more cosplay pics and cosplay make-up so I wanted something I could tie to the blog for it!
This look was created with the Kylie Cosmetics Grinch palette (sadly, sold out IMMEDIATELY upon release). I used a white cream make-up as a base (this one). It was not the best so I would suggest not going cheap like I did and getting a Mehron base (like this).
I used a plain black shadow for the eyebrows and a generic black liquid liner for the markings on the face.
For the color, I used one layer of Green N Mean all over my face and then a layer of Who-Pudding. Don’t freak out- it doesn’t take much to get your face fully colored! Just don’t be too heavy-handed with your brush when you pull the pigment from the pan. I used Mount Crumpit for highlighting my brow bone and both Fah Who Foraze as well as Last Can of Who Hash for additional highlighting.
For the lips, I didn’t want to go green so I used Kylie Cosmetics liquid lip in Ginger.
Since it’s difficult to find these Kylie items, here are a couple of similar dupes for the shadows. This Minkissy palette has two shades that are very similar to the greens that I used. This Eyret palette also has some very Grinchy greens and a great price point!
