Lady Antebellum- Our Kind of Vegas (Last Shows)

Lady Antebellum was one of the first big country shows I ever attended. It was their Own the Night Tour and I just happened to be on the East Coast in Florida the night of their show in Jacksonville. It was one of the best shows I’ve seen to date (and I’ve seen a lot of shows) and is still one of my favorite concert memories (even though we were literally in the nosebleeds). Actually, it’s safe to say that most of my favorite concert memories have been from one Lady A show or another- from answering random band trivia questions in Salt Lake City (Charles could only remember the…

Chris Lane at the House of Blues Las Vegas

You guys know how much I love a good country show! When Chris Lane told me back in July that he would be back in October, I scrapped all my plans for the anticipated weekend because there was no way I was missing that show! The House of Blues is undoubtedly one of my absolute favorite venues in Las Vegas. Not only has it stood the test of time where so many other venues have closed or changed, it’s just an all around great place. The sound is always great, the staff is friendly and helpful, and there is not a single bad seat in the house. This round was…

Vegas Lifestyle Influencers- Pre-Rodeo Celebration at Double Helix & Stoney’s Rockin Country

It’s that time again and if you’ve followed my blog at all, you know it’s my favorite time of the year! RODEO. Not only does NFR usually coincide with my birthday, it’s also the best time of year for my favorite country concerts! NFR isn’t just bullriding and roping- it’s one of the few times of the year that the country community is loud and proud in Las Vegas. Every year, I get to see some of my favorite artists perform, get to shop the western sales, and really enjoy the festive vibe of a country Christmas. The concert tickets are usually really reasonable too so it’s almost like the…

Girl’s Night Out- The Cadillac Three

The past few months I’ve been kind of a shut-in.  It’s gotten to the point my dog looks startled when I leave the house! I’ve started making more of an effort to see my friends and actually get out of the house because once you get used to being in the house all the time, you don’t really want to leave! I’m so blessed to have a lot of great girlfriends, even if we rarely see each other. Recently I got to hang out with a couple fabulous girls when one of my favorite bands, The Cadillac Three, was here in town. I always try to catch their shows when…

    Frankie Ballard & NFR

I know, I know. I keep waxing poetic about the rodeo. Last month, I dragged Corey to the SLS for Frankie Ballard because a) Frankie Ballard puts on a great show and b) two for one tickets. Seriously, two for one tickets. The Foundry was actually insanely empty. It was kind of a bummer but there were so many huge shows in town that weekend (Tim McGraw and George Strait) that people had other priorities. Even so, the show was a lot of fun. I don’t drag Corey to too many country shows because he really doesn’t like country music but he actually had a pretty good time. I have…

    Solo Birthday Part 01

So as always, NFR was in town last month and of course, it’s my favorite time of the year. In addition to rodeo, it’s my birthday! There are always so many great shows during or before my birthday and this year was no exception. Unfortunately, I didn’t get out too much because I was so busy with work; however, I made sure to book at least one really fun night out for myself. I don’t have that many friends who are super crazy about country music so I’ve gotten used to going to shows alone. Besides, I’d rather go alone than miss out! The Orleans was hosting Cam and Kelsea…

    Vegas Staycation & Carrie Underwood

Hey blog world! So it’s been a little while since I posted and that’s because things have been crazy here. Lots of changes and with the holidays it was just easier to hold off on posting rather than just ramble nonsense for a month. After Thanksgiving my mom and I got to have a little vegas staycation. We wanted to see Carrie Underwood and since room rates are pretty good between Thanksgiving and NFR, we decided to take advantage of the affordable prices and make a night of it. We got a room at the Monte Carlo for pretty cheap and it is literally right next to the arena. We…

    NFR 2015- The Cadillac Three

If you’ve been following my blog for a little while, you probably know-  I’m a pretty big fan of The Cadillac Three.  I met these guys in November 2014 on the Florida Georgia Line Cruise and they are not only really really talented guys, they’re super nice and down to earth too. I headed to this show solo as (what was supposed to be) my final NFR show and a pre-birthday hurrah. I managed to get a pretty awesome spot right in front (even though it was by an amp). The show was amazing as usual and since it was the last show of the year, the guys brought a…

    NFR 2015- A Thousand Horses

Last year the concert area at the Mirage was daunting to say the least. I had only seen it from a distance and did not realize that there was a large dancefloor in the middle making the crowds seem way bigger than they were. This year, I got there early and realized that it was actually a pretty easy crowd to navigate and we had pretty good spots for A Thousand Horses. Super weird lighting. Corey actually enjoyed the show.

    NFR 2015- Gloriana

Last year I practically lived at the MGM Grand during Rodeo Season. I saw so many shows in their Gold Buckle Zone that I completely lost count. This year MGM moved their Gold Buckle Zone so it was a little different. It turns out, it was a great change. The event center was so much larger and the set-up was pretty awesome. Loved it. This was my first country show with Corey (he’s not a huge country fan). We got there early so we sat down and had a few drinks first (beer for him, Jello shots for me).  The space was large and not at all crowded. Front row!…
