Looking for a spooky night out with delicious food, hilarious haunts, and killer food? Visit the Haunted Inn inside the Palms before October 31 to enjoy all that and maybe more!
A Hidden Pop-Up Gem: the Haunted Inn
Tucked away by Scotch 80 Prime, the currently defunct space is home to all the new pop-up experiences at the Palms, and the Haunted Inn is definitely one you won’t want to miss. For me, what set it apart most from other Halloween events was the real FOOD. No bar bites. No passed snacks. No peanuts (does anybody else remember that episode of Gilmore Girls where Rory talked about the urine-soaked peanuts on a first date? No? Just me?). Actual food that will actually fill you up. What a concept!

Tips and Immersive Entertainment
My first tip: Book a reservation. When we left around 9 PM, the line for the Haunted Inn had snaked down the hall, so make sure you secure your time and table in advance. There’s something to see on every wall inside, so wander the space as soon as you can. We found a murder wall, lots of creepy dolls (one may have looked a little familiar), skeleton hands, a graveyard, and the hall of portraits (more on that later). You’ll also find a stage in the graveyard where the creepy characters do different performances. Make sure to catch at least one! I think we caught all but maybe three in our two-hour visit (there are ten different performances).
The Haunted Inn’s Killer Bites and Feasts
The price point is reasonable, and some of the items are quite large and perfect for sharing. We ordered the Broom Service taquitos, Vampire Repellent steak with garlic truffle fries, the Bite Me wings (we literally kept finding more wings in this seemingly endless bowl), the Dig Your Own Grace Chocolate Mousse (yes, it’s shaped like a coffin with spoons that look like shovels), One Bite Stand salted caramel tart, and the Cupcake Massacre, which comes on a display of five bloody-looking red velvet cupcakes. We definitely had lots of leftovers! Check out the Haunted Inn menu here!

Thoughtful Mocktails
Another major selling point for me was their specific mocktails. Not just “here’s some juice and club soda” mocktails, but well-thought-out and executed beverages. The mocktail section was sponsored by Fanta, and they were actually quite delicious!
The Final Nail in the Coffin
I have to say, this is the Halloween event I was looking forward to most, and it really didn’t disappoint! From the food to the entertainment to the unhinged level of amazing decor, this is one spooky spot where you can enjoy dinner and a show and maybe make some creepy new friends.
